Kit is a PDI providing automatic driving lessons in Warrington and Widnes. She has two years of instructor experience, more than 20 years of driving experience and has taught more than 60 learners.

She has particular experience helping pupils who have previously failed a practical test or feel they have stopped making progress. Her former work as a personal assistant developed organisation, patience, attention to detail and the ability to respond calmly when circumstances change.

Teaching Approach

Kit looks for the cause of a repeated mistake rather than simply asking the learner to try the same situation again. A roundabout problem, for example, may come from approaching too quickly, observing too late or having too little time to judge traffic.

​

She uses coaching questions such as “What made that gap difficult to judge?” and “What could give you more thinking time?” If a learner already understands the theory, Kit avoids repeating a long explanation. Instead, they analyse what happened and test a different approach in practice.

​

For example, when a student repeatedly misses safe gaps, Kit may first work on reducing the approach speed earlier. This creates more time to observe and allows the student to make an independent decision rather than being told when to go.

Local Knowledge

Kit teaches across Lingley Green, Sankey Bridges, Cuerdley, Bold Heath, Widnes, Appleton, Stockton Heath, Warrington town centre and surrounding areas. Learners practise on residential estates, busy urban roads, complex junctions, mini and multi-lane roundabouts and dual carriageways.

She regularly prepares learners for Warrington, Atherton and St Helens Driving Test Centres. The A49, A57 Manchester Road, Wilderspool Causeway, Linkway East and West, the A570 and Sherdley Road are useful for developing lane discipline, reading road markings and planning earlier in heavier traffic.

Kit teaches in an automatic hybrid Toyota Corolla with dual controls, a reverse camera and parking sensors.
