Experience & Expertise

Gabriel is a PDI and automatic driving instructor in Warrington and Widnes with two years of instructor experience and more than 20 years of driving experience. He has taught more than 40 learners.

He has particular experience helping intermediate and test-ready pupils, including learners who have previously failed a practical test. His previous career as a teacher gives him a strong background in lesson planning, questioning, checking understanding and adapting an explanation when a learner is struggling.

Teaching Approach

Gabriel treats mistakes as useful information. He asks the learner to consider what happened, why it happened and what could change on the next attempt. Beginners may receive direct instruction, while experienced learners are encouraged to evaluate their own driving and respond to targeted feedback.

For example, if a pupil repeatedly chooses the wrong lane, Gabriel may ask what information was available before the junction. On the next approach, the pupil identifies signs and road markings earlier instead of waiting to be told which lane to use.

As the learner approaches test standard, Gabriel introduces longer periods of independent driving and avoids intervening unless guidance or safety requires it.

Local Knowledge

Gabriel teaches across Bewsey, Dallam, Orford, Winwick, Gemini, Padgate, Latchford and Great Sankey South. Learners practise on residential and urban roads, controlled and uncontrolled junctions, different types of roundabout, dual carriageways and unfamiliar routes.

​

He regularly prepares pupils for Speke, Widnes and Warrington Driving Test Centres. Around Widnes and Speke, Liverpool Road, Derby Road, the Eastern Bypass, Ashley Way and the multi-lane Watkinson Way area help learners practise early observation, lane discipline and reading signs and markings.
