Experience & Expertise

Seto is an automatic driving instructor in Leeds with two years of instructor experience. He has taught more than 80 learners and has particular experience helping learners who have previously failed their practical test, pupils who are close to test standard but have recurring faults, learners struggling with consistency under pressure and pupils needing focused mock-test preparation.

Seto is particularly good at helping overseas licence holders recognise which existing driving habits work well in the UK and which need to be adapted.

Teaching Approach

Seto separates what the learner needs to see from what they need to do. He identifies the important information first and then works on the physical response. For complex situations, he uses clear “decision points” where the learner reassesses speed, position, traffic and available space.

His demonstrations are focused: before demonstrating, he asks the learner what they want him to concentrate on, then talks through observations and decisions in real time. He also adapts how early instructions are given, depending on how much preparation time the learner needs.

For example, a learner who became nervous whenever traffic built up behind them. Seto worked on maintaining a safe speed and making decisions based on the road ahead rather than pressure from other drivers, helping the learner become calmer in busy traffic.

Local Knowledge

Seto teaches across Leeds, including Headingley, Chapel Allerton, Roundhay, Moortown, Horsforth, Kirkstall, Meanwood, Pudsey, Farsley and Morley. He regularly uses roads around Pudsey, Farsley, Bramley and West Leeds, including uphill and downhill sections, closely spaced junctions, mini-roundabouts and roads narrowed by parked vehicles.

He prepares learners for Horsforth and Leeds (Fearnville) Driving Test Centres. His teaching places particular emphasis on how bends, gradients and parked vehicles can affect visibility at junctions and how learners should gather information progressively before committing.

Training Car

Seto teaches in an automatic Suzuki Swift with dual controls, a reverse camera and parking sensors. The car is a hybrid.

Outside Driving Lessons

Seto enjoys cycling, travelling and technology. Cycling gives him a different perspective on road positioning and vulnerable road users, which he uses when teaching learners about speed, clearance and positioning around cyclists.

Why Choose Seto?

Seto’s approach is well suited to learners who want to understand exactly how observation leads to a decision. His emphasis on decision points, progressive information gathering and adapting existing habits can be especially useful for test-ready pupils and overseas drivers adjusting to UK roads.
